Microbridge Technologies Taps Senior SiGe Semiconductor Executive to Serve as Vice President of Operations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Montréal, Québec - April 2, 2007- Microbridge Technologies, Inc., the leader in passive, analog precision calibration Rejustor™ products, announced it has hired David Woo as Vice President of Operations. Woo's addition provides Microbridge with a seasoned industry executive that includes over 25 years of in-depth experience setting up manufacturing processes and supply logistics, streamlining business processes to support high-volume production, and interfacing with foundries and off-shore subcontractors. The new management team addition follows a previous announcement that Microbridge reached a distribution agreement with Future Electronics, where Future will supply and support Microbridge's Rejustor products on a global scale. Microbridge's Rejustor products are the first integrated calibration and temperature compensation systems for analog resistor design and production.
"David's timely addition will play a pivotal role as we start to ramp our production phase. He will provide us with operational expertise to scale the delivery of products in cost-competitive markets that will support our aggressive growth and market expansion plans," said Michael Foster, President and CEO, Microbridge. "David is already heavily engaged with our foundries, packaging and test houses to ensure the availability of quality product and a smooth volume ramp," Foster added.
"I am pleased to join Microbridge's strong management team and help facilitate the process by which the firm takes products to market to serve the consumer, automotive, medical and other industries that need to improve manufacturing yields and productivity," said David Woo, Vice President of Operations, Microbridge. "I will complement Microbridge's team of industry veterans as the firm continues to grow as a global provider of Rejustor products and make significant inroads into multi-billion dollar industries," Woo added.
Prior to Microbridge, Woo served as Vice President of Operations, where he managed multiple foundry relationships and oversaw IC assembly, test operations, and production at SiGe Semiconductor, Inc. Before SiGe Semiconductor, he held senior positions in engineering, production manufacturing, quality assurance and business development at IBM. Woo holds an M.B.A. and a B.S.M.E. from McGill University and he is a member of the Fabless Semiconductor Association.
